Bognor Regis Town 0 Boro 4

Boro hit back to winning ways with an emphatic display against a recently rejuvinated Bognor Regis Town. Not many would have foreseen this quality performance after the recent loss of form. Only two wins in 7 had the Boro looking over their shoulders at the chasing pack which included Saturday’s opponents . Any concern that this Boro team had gone into meltdown were quickly allayed however after a sloppy opening 15 minutes, where the hosts could have scored but for the heroics of Pajetat in goal, there was only one team in it. Kudas Oyenuga’s first goal for the club after 36 mins gave the Boro a platform and that was to stand them in good stead throughout a one sided second half. Boro totally dominated, particularly with the impressive Aresti ( pictured ) ably assisted by Stone , Barker and Durojaiye at the heart of the midfield and the lead was doubled on 53 minutes when Nouble was on hand to finish after a scramble in the hosts penalty area . It was Nouble again who beat Lincoln from the spot after a handball decision went against the hosts on 63 mins .Thereafter Lincoln saved well from Aresti , Oyenuga and Nouble and it was damage limitation for Bognor who huffed and puffed but did not really cause Pajetat, nor the excellent Boro back line , much consternation . Boro then after the introduction of new boy Froxylias and old boy Akinwande moved the ball around at ease and finally secured a 4th goal when Nouble completed a fine performance by beating a number of Bognor players and then chipping the ball to Akinwande who arrived on the line to tap in . A thoroughly deserved outcome which will fill the Boro with plenty of confidence for the run in. Unbelievable support once again from the large number of Boro fans who made the long journey and were well rewarded for their efforts and as usual sung their hearts out throughout. A mention too for the humility shown by the Bognor crowd and officials and in particular some of their players who took the time out at the end to clap the Boro fans which was a fantastic and well appreciated gesture.
