Bognor Regis Town 2 Boro 0

A disappointing trip to the seaside saw Boro totally outplayed and outfought by the home side who belied their lowly league position. From the start the Bognor players seemed more determined and resolute and they were a far more compact and threatening group than the Boro players who, if truth be told, were extremely poor in all aspects. Bognor struck the post and bar 4 times in the first half alone, missed a host of other chances and only had the solitary well struck Tommy Leigh goal to show for such dominance . 1-0 halftime. Those who expected a Boro resurgence after the break were disappointed as Bognor continued to dominate possession and only poor finishing and Pajetat in goal kept the Boro still in the game. After the  introduction of Ademiluyi from the bench Boro did look a little more threatening however any hopes of a comeback were effectively thwarted after Akinola went off injured leaving Boro with 10 men for the final 15 minutes  after all subs had been used .Time enough for the impressive Muitt  to cap off a fine display with a wonderful volley and securing all 3 points . Boro did improve towards the end but too little too late and Holden in the Bognor goal will not have had an easier afternoon. Still time for Durojaiye to get a straight red card in injury time for a reckless challenge to end  a horrendous day for Boro all round .

Boro line up:
