Boro 0 Kingstonian 1

An improved performance from Boro but the same result as the boys fell to their second defeat in 2 days . As the wind and rain spread across the CVS Van Hire Stadium both sides did well in the conditions to entertain the 300 odd fans who once again came out in force to support the team. The disappointment of Saturday was soon forgotten as a quicker slicker Boro started well. Chid Onokwai shooting wide when in a good position . Kingstonian playing neat ,possession ,thoughtful football played the ball around well and both sides sought to attack in an open and free flowing first half. Kingstonian took the lead in rather fortunate circumstances in the 35th minute as the impressive Theophanous tried his luck from  some 3o yards out. His mis- hit shot going well wide fell to the unmarked Puemo who scored with ease. Boro pushed without troubling Tolfrey in the Kingstonian goal. 0-1 halftime. Boro came out with yet more purpose in the second half and stretched the Kingstonian back line . On 60 minutes Solomou had a chance for parity however his strong shot from 10 yards came back off the bar with Tolfrey well beaten. Sub Froxylias was introduced and his first contribution almost brought the equaliser as Tolfrey did well to palm away his well struck shot from the edge of the area. Boro huffed and puffed thereafter but couldn’t find a way through and Kingstonian held out for an important 3 points .
