Home Games v East Thurrock & Potters Bar – Review

Two home games in four days brought four points!

Losing both games games at Half Time it was a credit to the spirit of the team or the words said in the dressing, make your own minds up, that the team turned the games around in the second half.

Saturday losing 1-0 to East Thurrock, goals from George Aresti, an indirect free kick inside the penalty area from Roman Michael-Percil, followed by him converting a penalty saw the Boro 3-1 up. Bobson Bawling scored from an end to end quick break and an own goal by East Thurrock, secured a 5-1 victory. Game of two halves, very apt!

Tuesday night facing a fuel crisis Haringey v Potters Bar played out a 2-2 draw in what was for the second half played in biblical rain. Potters Bar took the lead before goal machine Tosin Olufemi equalised, this led straight from the kick off to Potters Bar regaining the lead. Despite constant pressure it took an own goal in the 81st minute for the Boro to draw level and that was how it finished.

Saturday 2nd October sees a rearranged game against Leatherhead away take place.
